Last week, we published How to Code Your Own CryptoKitties-Style Game on Ethereum, and got a lot of interest from the community.

So this week, we took it a step further…

We built an interactive tutorial that walks you through building your first Ethereum DApp, step by step.

But instead of building something boring like a “hello world” app, we decided to build something fun…

Thus, we present you with…

CryptoZombies!

CryptoZombies is an interactive code school where you create your own Ethereum game.

So far, we’ve released lesson 1, in which you write your first smart contract, and we’ll be releasing more lessons in the future that cover more advanced topics.

In lesson 1, you learn how to build a simplified version of the DNA logic CryptoKitties — the part of the app that gives the kitties their unique appearance.

Of course, our Zombies are much cuter ;)

When you complete the lesson, you even get your own custom zombie:
