Over the weekend, a staggering $35 million worth of various tokens was snatched from Atomic Wallet, a centralized storage and wallet service. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Dogecoin, Litecoin, BNB coin, and Polygon—tokens galore were swiped, leaving many in disbelief. But the affected users represent less than 1% of Atomic Wallet's active users. Atomic Wallet is on the case, investigating and analyzing the attack, with their trusty team working to uncover the details. To aid in their investigations, victims have been asked to share information through a Google Docs form. But the stolen crypto is already on the move to the crypto mixer sinbad.io, as reported by blockchain compliance analytics firm, Elliptic. Their investigations team has followed the digital breadcrumb trail, tracing the funds from the Atomic Wallet hack, but here's where it gets intriguing — sinbad.io has a shady past, allegedly laundering over $100 million stolen by North Korea's Lazarus Group.
And to add another layer of drama, sinbad.io, is believed to be a rebranded version of blender.io, a mixer previously sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department. However, Atomic Wallet's team is on the case, doing everything they can to recover the funds.

Tether, the popular stablecoin issuer, has made a significant investment in a startup called Volcano Energy, with big plans to build a massive Bitcoin mining farm in the beautiful country of El Salvador. Tether revealed its backing of Volcano Energy's first round of funding, valued at an impressive $250 million. This shows Tether's commitment to strategic diversification and supporting innovative projects like Volcano Energy.
The goal of Volcano Energy is to raise a whopping $1 billion to fund the construction and operation of this extraordinary Bitcoin mining farm. The planned Bitcoin mining farm will have a total capacity of 241 megawatts, with 169 megawatts generated from photovoltaic solar energy and an additional 72 megawatts from wind energy.
